Data Rights & Account Deletion

We respect your family’s privacy choices. Use this page to request deletion of your Mindful Minis account, remove a child profile, access your data, or exercise rights granted by the GDPR, CCPA, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Once we verify your identity, we work quickly to complete the request.

What gets deleted

Permanent deletion removes personal information associated with your account, including:

  • Caregiver profile details, including name, email address, and preferences
  • Child profiles, wellbeing check-ins, mood logs, and activity progress
  • In-app messages and support conversations associated with your account
  • Device identifiers or analytics data that can reasonably be linked to your account

We keep aggregated, de-identified analytics that no longer identify you or your child. If we must retain limited data for legal, regulatory, or fraud-prevention reasons, we will explain that in our response.

How long it takes

Our standard timeline meets or exceeds the requirements of the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and relevant privacy regulations:

  1. Acknowledge your request: We confirm receipt within 7 days and may ask for additional information to verify identity and legal authority.
  2. Review and verification: We authenticate requests using the email on file or supporting documentation. Unverified requests are not fulfilled.
  3. Complete deletion: We erase or anonymize data within 30 days (or the shorter period required by your local law) unless we must retain it for legal compliance or to resolve disputes.
  4. Confirmation: We send written confirmation once the request is completed and explain any data we must retain with the applicable legal basis.

Verification checklist

To protect families, we only fulfil verified requests. Please be ready to share:

  • The email address connected to the Mindful Minis account
  • A child profile nickname or recent activity description (optional but helps us locate the correct records)
  • Proof of parental authority or authorization if you are acting on behalf of a caregiver
  • Any legal documentation required in your jurisdiction (for example, notarized consent for authorized agents in California)
